Find out moreThese terms and conditions apply to all ticket purchases made through our ticketing partner Ticket Tailor, and all membership subscriptions purchased through this website. By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before booking.
The British Retriever Trophy is a registered trademark of Lightoaks Gundogs Limited, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16649537).
2.1 Purchasing tickets
All event tickets are sold via our Ticket Tailor booking page. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email containing your ticket(s). Please check your spam folder if this does not arrive within a few minutes of purchase.
2.2 Ticket types
Tickets are available as individual admissions, day passes, or bundled packages as shown at the time of purchase. Some ticket types are subject to availability restrictions or dependencies — for example, parking passes must be purchased alongside a valid event ticket.
2.3 Programme Vouchers
Where a Programme Voucher is included as part of a bundle or purchased separately, it is redeemable at the event for one official printed programme. Vouchers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for other items.
2.4 Ticket transfer
Tickets are non-refundable but may be passed on to another person at your discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure the new ticket holder has all relevant event information. Resale of tickets at a profit is not permitted.
2.5 Ticket validity
Tickets are valid only for the date(s) and session(s) specified. Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced. We recommend retaining your confirmation email as proof of purchase.
3.1 Cancellation by you
All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person — see clause 2.4.
3.2 Cancellation or postponement by us
In the event that the British Retriever Trophy is cancelled by the organisers, ticket holders will be offered a transfer to the equivalent ticket(s) for the next available event. No cash refunds will be issued. If the event is postponed or affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will communicate options to ticket holders as soon as reasonably practicable.
These terms cover spectator tickets and membership only. Competition entry fees for competing dogs are governed separately by the BRT Rules & Regulations, available on this website. In summary, entry fees are payable online by 8th June 2027 and are refundable only in the event that a qualified dog is forced to withdraw and no substitution is made, with any refund issued by 30th June 2027.
Parking passes are sold separately and are subject to availability. A valid event ticket must be held in order to purchase a parking pass. Parking passes do not guarantee a specific space and are valid only on the event date shown. Parking passes are non-refundable.
6.1 Admission
Please have your ticket ready for scanning on arrival — either on your mobile device or as a printed copy. Entry may be refused if a valid ticket cannot be presented.
6.2 Conduct
The British Retriever Trophy is a working gundog competition and all attendees are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Dogs accompanying spectators must be kept under control at all times and on a lead. We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any person whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, without refund.
6.3 Photography & filming
Photography for personal use is permitted. Commercial photography, filming, or live streaming requires prior written consent from the organisers.
7.1 Children at the event
Children are very welcome to attend The British Retriever Trophy. They should, however, be accompanied at all times during the event by a Parent, Guardian or other responsible adult. Responsibility for the supervision, safety and welfare of children attending the Event rests with their accompanying adult at all times and not with The British Retriever Trophy.
7.2 Under 18's
The BRT is committed to supporting Young People and furthering their interest and their involvement in this wonderful sport.
The BRT's position regarding Event Admission is set out clearly in the ticketing section of this website. Further comment for Under 18's is, however, relevant in the following areas:
7.3 Competing
The BRT has very deliberately not set an age limit for Qualifying Handlers. Subject to the possible requirement for a ballot and subject also to the rules as to Handler Substitution (see Rules & Regulations), there will be no age limit. Handlers under the age of 18 are very welcome to run their dogs, subject to their qualification in the normal way.
7.4 Membership
We would love nothing more than to see all Handlers as Members of The BRT, but this is not a requirement in order to compete. Again, there is no age limit to membership, and Members under the age of 18 are very welcome.
7.5 Member competitions
Our position here is somewhat different:
Member Competitions are open only to those over the age of 18. This is true even in a situation where a Member is automatically entered. Where the Member is below the age of 18, they should please nominate a Parent or Guardian, who will enter the competition on their behalf. Should the entry (on behalf of the Young Person) win the competition, then the prize would be accepted on their behalf by their Parent or Guardian. By way of example, should a Young Person win the initial prize of a training/handling day with BRT Directors David Latham and David 'Christmas' Thomas, then the Young Person would be welcomed on the day, but accompanied as appropriate by their Parent or Guardian.
8.1 What membership includes
A British Retriever Trophy membership grants access to gated content on this website. The specific content and benefits included are detailed on the membership page and may be updated from time to time.
8.2 Purchasing membership
Memberships are purchased directly on this website at a cost of £50 per year. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful payment. If you do not receive this, please contact us at info@tbrt.co.uk.
8.3 Membership period
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Renewal is not automatic; you will be notified before your membership expires.
8.4 Cancellation & refunds
Membership fees are non-refundable. By completing your purchase and accessing gated content, you acknowledge that the 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer law does not apply, as digital content access has been granted immediately upon payment.
8.5 Access
Membership access is personal and non-transferable. Sharing login credentials is not permitted. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access in cases of suspected misuse.
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By purchasing a ticket or membership, you consent to us using your contact details to send event-related communications. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Ticket purchases are processed by Ticket Tailor; membership payments are processed via Stripe. Their respective privacy policies also apply.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the event runs safely and as described. However, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal property at the event, personal injury unless caused by our negligence, or changes to the event programme, judges, or format that do not materially affect the overall event.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from a ticket or membership purchase will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
